When driving at approx 30 mph car began to overheat. another time, when in traffic, driving 10-20 mph, car began to overheat, coolant liquid in plastic container was boiling. a very small amount of fluid had escaped through the radiator cap and was bubbling on top of the radiator. i stayed pulled over until traffic cleared, then drove home with heater turned on to hopefully keep the fan running. checked thermostat 04/09/12 which was not defective. radiator checked and flushed and found no defect. replaced fan resistor on 04/10/12. still fan does not turn off and on correctly (i think) because problem persists although i don't drive it as much anymore. overheating continues to be a problem and if i am in stand-still traffic i'm afraid now that the fluid will boil again and like other reports, might cause a fire. i couldn't believe it when i read the reports. it was like they were talking about my car. i thought it was just me!
