I have a 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited x, automatic with 10,500 miles. i was traveling down an on ramp going about 40mph, light on the throttle and the jeep hesitated, all of the gauges (speedometer, etc) shut off (showed 0), then all of the dash lights came on. during that 2 second period, i had no power steering, brakes or control over the throttle of the jeep. this could have been much worse. i know there is a recall that covers this, but my jeep falls out of the production date to get it taken care of. the build date is feb. of 2007. i am not the only one with the problem and the current recall is not taking care of this issue. this needs to be address before someone (like my family) gets seriously hurt. http://www.jk-forum.com/showthread.php?t=2634. *tr

Was driving at highway speeds 65 mph all dash lights flashed on and radio cut out. happened for a few seconds, then everything went back to normal. i believe the engine kept running and did not cut out.*cn

Driving home on a friday, all the dash lights came on, the speedometer; tach, odometer and temp gauge stopped working. it kept running, so i drove it home. got home, would not restart with either key. remotes did not work either. had it towed to the dealer. they were too busy to look at it, they said maybe monday! monday and now they have to call the tech line, never seen this problem before. i had the reflash done for the stall bug at 12k, 4k ago. like the vehicle, but too many electronic and software bugs!! i am starting to wonder if we should be reimbursed for doing jeep's development testing. with these types of issues making it to the field, i wonder what they found during development that we don't know about. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler 4-dr 4x4. the manufacturer stated that the odometer disclosure on the vehicle was 84 miles and that the contact was not the original owner. the dealer stated that the odometer disclosure was 10 miles. the current mileage was 35,019 and the failure mileage was inapplicable.

I had no previous problems with the vehicle stalling. the vehicle was running with no noticable difference the day of the incident. i was pulling off from a traffic light and i felt the power from the engine cut out. i looked at my instruments and the tach dropped to zero and all the instrument lights went out. no more than one to two full seconds later all of the instrument lights came on and went through the normal sequence like the vehicle was just started. the engine came back to life and the vehicle ran as though there was no problem. i took the vehicle to the dealer and they said it did not store a code in the computer and they could not replicate the prblem. i have had no other failures. i don't remember the exact date of the failure, but i am sure i have a copy of the service record in my glove box from when i took it to the dealer. i will be happy to cooperate with any investigation and provide the documentation if needed.
