On thurs june 25 at apx 1800 hrs both halves of the freedom top on my 2007 jeep wrangler flew off the car at 55 mph. the fiberglass failed and the tops tore away from the metal latches. i got fiberglass in my eyes and hurt my neck in the process. the tops were firmly secured and had not been off the car in at least six weeks. during those six weeks i had driven in excess of 55 mph with out a problem had anyone been driving behind me the certainly could have been injured or killed. i retrieved the tops from the hwy and have them as evidence i contacted chrysler and they refuse to acknowledge the problem or take any kind of corrective action the car has 40,000 mi on it. my insurance co says i am not covered for the damage. i have pictures of the damaged tops any help would be greatly appreciated. *tr

Water was first noticed in my vehicle when i first came out of work to go home. my vehicle was parked in a fire station parking lot overnight as i work 24 hours as a firefighter. i noticed a strong mildew odor and checked the floors and both rear passenger and driver side carpeting was soaking wet. i the pulled up the carpets and let the water drain onto the floor once this was complete i then pulled both drain plugs and let the water drain out. the total accumulation was approximately 1 1/2 inches of water. this was after a moderate rain no heavy gusts or anything of the sorts. i then called the dealership who then replaced all the door seals. they claimed they could not repeat the problem. again on another morning after another rain i came out from work and yet again more water in the same location. i also went home that morning and water began to leak on me from the outside and also began leaking onto the dashboard as well as from both a and b posts this water then leaked onto my wife who was sitting in passengers front seat, the water also began to leak onto my son's arm who was sitting behind me in his car seat . on the 2 most recent occasions the same thing occurred now i have water on the floor boards as well as under the front driver side carpeting that is completely saturated with rain water. both seatbelts are wet as well. i am now bringing in the vehicle for a third time for the same problem however, i did not pull the drain plugs as to allow the dealership to witness the alarming amount of water that leaks inside. anytime it rains this vehicle is getting saturated inside. now the interior smells like a wet dirty dog due to the water accumulating on the carpeting. the weather stripping on the doors has been replaced twice and each time with no success. this vehicle thankfully is garage kept with the exception of work. the vehicle has never been off-road and the roof is on securely and fastened correctly. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler 4x4. while driving 65 mph the instrument panel lights illuminated and there was a loss of power steering and brakes. this problem occurred on two occasions. the dealer stated that they were unable to duplicate the failure. approximately ten minutes after leaving the dealer the vehicle experienced the same problem on four occasions. the contact was unable to restart the vehicle and it was towed to the dealer. the dealer has not determined the cause of the failure. the current mileage was 20 and the failure mileage was 16. the consumer stated after paying $8,000 in engine parts as of 6/15/07 the jeep still will not run. the consumer stated that daimler-chrysler contacted her to offer a buyback or replacement. the consumer stated she requested the buyback option as the stall defect is still being reported on the web. at the final inspection, the consumer noticed the door didn't shut properly. updated 07/10/07 *tr

1-bought 2007 jeep wrangler brand new 2-soft top was leaking over seat belts, the floor behind the driver and passenger seats are wet after rains. 3-dealer said that the salesman put the top on wrong and it was fixed. top still leaks, dealership said that all the soft tops leak and it is just that way. now i always park my jeep in the garage, but sometimes i happen to be at work during a rain storm. i do not think it is right that dealerships can get away with this. there should be a recall on all the tops leaking. the manufacturer should pay for these to be fixed. *tr
STRUCTURE - FRAME AND MEMBERS

When driving my 2007 4-door jeep wrangler on the interstate 4 weeks ago i noticed that when i hit a hole in the road or a bump the entire vehicle shook, causing the steering wheel to shake back and forth causing me to almost skip lanes and almost hit a semi truck in the next lane. the next day i called the dealership that i purchased this vehicle from used about 5 months ago (10,000 miles ago). i have made 3 trips to the dealership in the past 4 weeks and the shaking has become worse. the last 2 days while driving to and from work, i literally thought that the right front tire was going to come off or that the frame was going to brake! i pulled off of the interstate many times on my 30 mile trip and didn't drive over 40mph. i asked the mechanic at the dealership to drive the jeep with me on the interstate today. he said that he has no idea what is wrong but it felt like the entire frame is violently shaking. i feel very unsafe driving this vehicle as i am unable to control it when this occurs. i should mention 2 more things...1. this only occurs when one side of the vehicle hits a bump, not when both tires hit at the same time, like hitting a pot hole with left tire. 2. many owners of this excact make and model are having the same issue. i have been looking on-line and there are multiple site with hundreds of people who, despite spending a lot of money replacing part after part contiue to have this safety issue. i have reveived a recall notice about the lack of temperature control of the cooling system but chrysler has not addressed this problem and they should. someone is going to die from this design flaw and it must be addressed soon. i don't know what to do. i have to travel the interstate to get to work.

Hello, i bought a new 2007 jeep wrangler and have been having what the industry calls the death wobble since the vehicle was new and it is now in for the 4th repair attempt and dealership is telling me that there is nothing they can do to fix it and that they can't replicate the problem this time, although they have now repaired it 3 times now over the last 2 years and were able to replicate the problem each of the other times. now my new vehicle warranty is within 200 miles of expiring now and i have a broken car that is in no way safe to drive. i will be driving to the mountains to ski this weekend in a snow storm so it should be scary as this is my only car. a simple search for my model year jeep online and death wobble will return an unlimited amount of information. obviously i am not the only consumer with this complaint. can you please advise whom i should contact to address this matter? i don't want to die or kill anyone. the death wobble occurs when i encounter a bump in the road at speeds over ~40mph and must be slowed to a near stop to make it quit. i can't seem to get anyone at chrysler to help me and the dealers can't fix it, what do i do? *tr
