My 2007 jeep unlimited sahara has the death wobble. occurred several months ago. mechanic couldn't figure it out, but prescribed tire inflation. problem went away until one week ago. can be easily replicated by going over a speed bump at about 25 mph and turning the wheel to the left sharply. alternatively, just traveling above 40-45 mph on a highway, especially on a curve, will replicate. if any other jeep driver has this problem, the only way to protect yourself is to brake slowly, get off the road and drive under 40 mph...and much slower while turning even on side streets. if you must drive on a highway, stay in the slow lane so that you can exit to the shoulder with relative safety, and engage your hazard lights. obviously, these are not practical solutions and ultimate culpability must lie with the manufacturer, who has been put on alert of this persistent problem for many months if not years. very dangerous problem that needs to be repaired by jeep before someone gets killed or seriously hurt. please share these complaints with jeep & the general public (without disclosing the names or specific vin #s).

Vehicle suffers extreme shaking and wobbling at speeds above 40 mph, becomes particularly worse on lane changes and curved roads. happens whether the surface is wet or dry. the problem is intermittent; meaning, it does not happen all the time, but is particularly worse in mornings when vehicle is cold or has not been driven overnight. the violent shaking makes vehicle nearly impossible to steer or maintain in lane, particularly dangerous on the highway. this is an extremely dangerous condition that requires immediate attention from chrysler/jeep.
