Traveling approx 15-20 mph down hill at medium grade in rush hour traffic, had to make an emergency stop, stamped both feet on clutch and brake firmly with out let up...brake physically fought back not allowing brake to fully depress or catch and allowed vehicle to continue forward, only fully depressing once had crashed into vehicle in front of me. this vehicle has had a recall on it with electronic control module issues in the brakes, was taken to dealership and reprogrammed approximately two months prior to incident. *tr
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC

Had my jeep wrangler in for problems with the brakes chugging (which was mentioned when the vehicle was still under warranty, but couldn't duplicate). they explained the service attendant could not find anything, however they didn't test drive it. i then insisted and they found a rotor was bad. before it was taken in to the garage i checked the brake fluid and it was down to the minimum line. the brakes had continued to get spongy and not responding. the repairs to this was $312.00! i was told by the dealership, that chrysler has used thin metal on the rotors causing these problems.
