 Tl*the contact owned a 2007 kawasaki vulcan 2000 motorcycle. the contact filed a complaint in 2008 pertaining to a grinding noise he heard while driving. he also stated that the vehicle would wobble violently. the dealer inspected the vehicle and stated that there was an unknown spray that was needed in order to break in the belts on the vehicle. the contact had the belts sprayed with the unknown substance. the vehicle was taken to the dealer at least three times and it was in the shop for over two months. the dealer sprayed road grime off of the engine and stated that was the cause of the failure. on a separate occasion, the contact felt a violent wobble in the rear of the vehicle. while merging left at 40 mph, he heard a loud banging sound. both the contact and the vehicle began sliding straight towards a pole. he attempted to separate himself from the vehicle and was thrown off. the rear tire blew out as well. the ambulance and police arrived at the scene and the contact was airlifted to the hospital. a police report was filed. he sustained major injuries to his spleen, legs, knees, and back, as well as severed arteries. he also suffered from slight amnesia due to the crash. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were less than 4,000.
