When applying constant throttle in the 10,000 rpm range there is inconstant power delivery. this causes the motorcycle physically surge forward and fall back as the power level changes even though the throttle application has remained constant. under certain conditions such as road surface or lean angle in a turn this issue causes the motorcycle to become extremely unstable. i personally have experienced near crashes specifically because of this issue both on public roads and on closed courses. i am able to reproduce this issue consistently up to 5th gear at well over 100mph on a closed course. i have not attempted to reproduce in 6th gear. it is easily reproducible on the street in 1st through 3rd gears at or below normal speed limits. kawasaki customer service insists that this is a feature or characteristic of this model of motorcycle (zx-6 2009-2011). however, kawasaki did have the dealer replace the ecu but there was no change in the behavior of the motorcycle. | |||
