| 2005 kia amanti. consumer writes in regards to defective airbag sensor *tgw the consumer stated the defective feature was the sensor that controlled the air bags, which was installed within the bottom portion of the passenger seat. when the sensor malfunctioned, a warning light displayed on the dashboard stating airbag. the consumer stated the first time the air bag light illuminated, the dealer found a problem with the steering column. the remedy lasted for a short time. the second time, the air bag light illuminated, the consumer was informed the problem was a defective sensor which was located in the bottom of the passenger seat. the sensor in the passenger seat controlled the driver's side air bags and the side air bags. the consumer stated kia sent him a letter outlining the restrictions and constraints regarding the use of the air bag system and how it can malfunction. *jb | |||

| Soon after start up, i pulled out of my drive way and proceeded to turn onto the street and i had no power for about 2 seconds, then it goes full out. this has happened 8 or 9 times. i have been very disappointed with the dealer. they are clueless. i have been back 6 times for an airbag light on the dash and it is still on. headlight went out and had to go back 3 times for that. *jb | |||
