 Tl- the contact owns a 2005 kia sportage. the contact stated that while applying the brakes at approximately 30 mph, there was an abnormal grinding sound. the contact inspected the brakes and discovered that the brakes were too large for the front disk brakes. the contact replaced the brakes with the appropriately size brakes and replaced the rotors. the rear brakes were not replaced. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 89,000. kmj

 I was driving and the vehicle would not brake, and steered right while driving 40-50 mph, hitting the curb and almost collided with another vehicle. definite defect in the steering/fuel/brakes/electronicstabilitycontrol, and other minor mechanical malfunctions.

 Tl. the contact owns a 2005 kia sportage. the contact while driving 20 mph the brakes would engage on the right side of the vehicle. the contact had to apply the brakes causing the brakes to disengage. the contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic and the locate mechanic stated the esp computer needs to be updated. the diagnostic test shown the vehicle making a hard right turn while the vehicle was parked. the contact notice a nhtsa campaign i.d. 05v318000 (parking brake). the contact took the vehicle to the dealer regarding the recall and the dealer informed the contact the vehicle did not fall into the recall due to the vin number. the contact stated this is a serious safety issue the could cause a crash. the failure mileage was 85,000. jo

 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 kia sportage. the vehicle was repaired under recall # 05v120000 (suspension:automatic stability control (asc)). the contact stated that the right rear brakes are now squealing and that the brakes should have been inspected when the repair was performed. the dealer stated that the rotor has glazed over. the purchase date was unknown. the current and failure mileages were 33,000.
