| Tl-the contact owns a 2003 land rover range rover. the tilt and the telescoping motors has failed and was inoperable. the telescoping feature that allows the steering wheel to move forward and backwards has a bracket holding the telescoping motor wires together broke off. the telescoping motor has fallen behind the brakes. this has caused the brake to not fully engage when it was being depressed. the dealer disconnected the motors from the wires and gave it to him. they did not replace the motors. the dealer informed him the vehicle was too old and too many mileage and they will not repair under warranty.the failure mileage was 106,911....mw | |||

| Dt: the contact stated the steering wheel came loose and fell into the contact's lap while driving. he was able to manually raise the steering wheel up into the column and drive the vehicle to the dealer. the dealer discovered a plastic part on the steering column assembly broke. this part was replaced with a metal part. also, the telescopic steering adjusted automatically. this caused the position of the steering wheel to change randomly while driving. the dealer attempted to correct the problem by reprogramming the software. no further repairs have been made at this time. *ak updated 1/23/2006 - *nm | |||

| My 2003 land rover range rover hse had a failure of the front differential spilnes, axle shaft, differential unit and drive shaft which caused total loss of vehicle propulsion at 60 miles per hour on a busy highway during rush hour traffic. the vehicle had to be towed to land rover north scottsdale where it still sits because neither the extended warranty company nor the land rover dealership will claim responsibility for the repairs which are in excess of $4,000. i also had a failure of the retractable steering wheel which resulted in a diagnosis of having to replace the entire steering column. *jb | |||
