| 2008 lexus es 350. consumer writes in regards to non deployment of airbags while suffering a head on collision. *tgw the consumer stated his wife had just pulled off from a stop sign, and turned left into oncoming traffic. his wife's speed was 5 mph and the oncoming vehicle was doing 35-40 mph. according to the letter sent by toyota, a review of the photographs showed there was no direct frontal impact, but an angular impact to the left front corner. which was confirmed by the fact that the front portions of the vehicle were pushed to the right. *jb | |||

| My son-in-law, mark kuhar, was driving my (robert lehman's) 2008 lexus es350 with permission, when it went off the road down an appx. 100 foot hill, rolling end over end, appx. 8 times. none of the air bags were activated. he received serious injuries which he is now recovering from. the car is beyond repairs. insurance companies for mark and myself have been notified and are active. a police report was filed. *tr | |||

| I have been involved in two separate collisions this year with my 2008 lexus es350 and neither time did my air bags deploy. the first time was in may/june of 2010 and i hit a curb avoiding a collision with a vehicle that cut my off. i was alone in my vehicle traveling at about 30-40 miles an hour and the airbags did not deploy. exactly two months ago, i was involved in another collision with a hyndai accent in which i rear ended that vehicle at a speed of approximately 45 mph and again the airbags did not deploy causing me to hit my face on the steering wheel, having a nose and facial contusion, then being whipped back from the seat belt. progressive insurance refused to total the vehicle despite the extensive damage and they still can't figure out the computer related issues. progressive claims that the airbag issue had nothing to do with the accident and that i need to take that up with lexus. that process is extremely frustrating and designed to avoid any consumer from getting their rightful restitution and service for a potential dangerous situation. i am a realtor and cannot risk taking my clients in my vehicle since i am afraid that if i am involved in another accident, my passengers will be at risk. i do not know what to do, i am paying high monthly payments for luxury and safety that lexus is not backing. putting my clients and my children and family in danger. this is very serious and needs to be addressed with toyota/lexus! please help. | |||

| Passenger airbag light keep switching from on to off and off to on. we brought it in twice into lexus to have them fix the problem, but they keep saying there is nothing wrong with it. i know they had problems with the 2007 lexus es 350. my 2008 is having the same problem. all i'm asking them is to have fix the problem, before any accident happen. my husband and i carpool everyday to work, and we are so afraid that if there is an accident, the airbag might not deploy because of the sensor problem and turning the airbag off. *tr | |||
