I became a victim of a curbstoner on august 30, 2004, when i bought a used vehicle (93 lexus ls400, vin: jt8uf11e7p0170087) from a supposed washington auto dealer. his details are as follows: mark vayner 237 ne chkalov drive, suite 125 vancouver, wa 98684 cell # (360) 909-5087 another cell # (360) 909-4912 he did not check any boxes on odometer disclosure/title extension statement, and told me that vehicles older than 10 years are exempt from mileage statement requirement. he wrote down exempt in place of odometer reading. when i checked with the lexus service center after the purchase, they gave me the history of the vehicle which shows that the mileage is 230,086 instead of 86,223. i paid $6,951 by a cashier's check. i used experian autocheck services and this odometer discrepancy did not show on their records. mark vayner intentionally and materially defrauded me. utilizing the e-bay motors vehicle purchase protection plan, i am writing this letter to formally complaint about this odometer fraud. now, what can i do at this point? please let me know. thanks. vijay sinha 1827 venetian dr stockton, ca 95207 tel: (209) 639-6773. *ak

The speedometer and odometer needles on my dashboard work only intermittently. they are usually stuck at 0, but sporadically jump to life on occasion and work for short periods of time. very frustrating. the car is a 1993 lexus ls400. *la

To whom it may concern: i have a '93 lexus ls400. apparently, 80% of these cars in this year have faulty instument panels. the speedometer and tach needles do not work, gas gauge is hardly responsive, and at night the lights fail to turn on leaving the driver in a dangerous situation. this of course is a safety issue and i believe is a direct result of a factory design flaw, which lexus should help resolve. the problem has been lingering for over 6 years now because lexus has quoted me at $1500 to replace the circuit board!!!! how can they get away with this??? maybe people need to die in car accidents for someone to take action and get these faulty parts recalled!!!!!! i refuse to spend hard earned money on this replacement. i have already gave lexus over $50,000 for the car and service. my opinion about lexus and its persuit for perfection has changed; they are just a bunch of thieves. if you search your records i am sure there is many complaints about this some issue. thank you for your time. carlos.*ak

Car was in a parking lot. started, put in reverse, then put in drive and car took off steered to the right and hit two other parked cars before i got car in neutral. motor still reving till ignition turned off. car only travelled about 25 yards but was literally uncontrollable from an accelerator or throttle standpoint--felt like it was in a full open position--it all happened so fast--hardly any time to react, luckily no injuries. was witnessed.*ak
