 Tl-the contact owns a 2003 lincoln. the contact stated while starting the vehicle the air bag light came on and the driver side air bag deployed. the contact was not injured during the deployment of the air bag. the contact called the manufacturer and the manufacturer suggested to the contact to called the insurance company. the contact stated the vehicle was not involved in a crash when the air bag deployed so the insurance company could not assist. the contact called the dealer and the dealer informed the contact to bring the vehicle in. the dealer stated a wiring issue caused the air bag to deploy and was waiting for a new air bag to repair the vehicle. the contact stated if the driver side seat was not placed all the way back the contact could have suffered serious burns. the failure mileage was 65,000. jo
