 Tl*the contact owns a 2000 lincoln ls. the contact stated that both the head and tail lights constantly failed and the front lower ball joints on both sides of the vehicle have failed twice. the dealer replaced the lower control arm and ball joints, but the failure still persists. a report was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that she would receive a call back. the failure mileage was 92,000 and current mileage was 160,000.

 While driving the air bag warning light continuously illuminated on the dashboard. as a result, air bags were inoperative and wouldn't deploy when needed, per dealership. the dealership replaced every air bag component, but the problem still existed.*ak the right front headlight held moisture and the fog light held water. the dealer replaced the headlights and fog lights. the bulb for the left side fog light burned out. the left seat was loose. the dealer replaced the clips on the back of the seat. the driver's side front door wouldn't open front he inside. the dealer replaced the handle. the check engine light illuminated and the engine stalled while the vehicle was stopped. the dealer replaced the intake hose. the engine made noise. the dealer replaced the mass air flow sensor. the passenger's side front power window was inoperative. the dealer replaced the window regulator. wind noise could be heard around both doors. the dealer replaced both body seals. *nlm

 The passanger headlights started to fog up, then the driver. contacted lincoln they said theres was nothing they could do about it. i have talked to other lincoln ls owners and they said they have had the same problem. lincoln sated that i sould just buy new ones at 295.99 a headlight plus install.*ak

 ~both lower ball joints have failed ~driver side interior door handle doesn't work ~driver side door control strap broke ~vehicle transmission misses gear going up inclines ~vehicle misfires and engine idles rough at times, dealer found nothing wrong ~replace back right side and front driver side window regulators after failures ~moonroof switch went bad ~lug nuts on vehicle strip easily, have to replace most of them ~shifts extremely rough from reverse to park ~engine idle sound terrible for a luxury car, ever after dealer tune up ~had to replace engine gaskets, coolant leaked into engine block contaminating the oil ~headlights fog over after any precipitation, very dangerous ~lower front bumper is separating from the upper bumper

 Headlamp fills up with moisture, decreasing output of beam. ford motor company refuses to replace despite a service bulletin which acknowledged the problem and that engineers were investigating for a fix. dealer advised that part would be available approximately dec 2002.

 The headlight covers on the vehicle collect moisture and fog over to the extent that visibility is impaired. the moisture does not go away, clear up, or disperse. the dealer says that there is no fix for the problem, although it has been reported in a tech. service bulletin from lincoln in january, 2002. the headlights on the auto are ineffective with the moisture build-up. it is an unsafe condition. ts

 Visibility at night is reduced due to condensation build up in passenger's side headlight. *ak the dealer was not willing to replace the lens because it was defective. *yh

 Airbag light stays on. vehicle has been taken to dealer 4 times for air bag light failure. currently, vehicle is at dealer for sam eproblem. also. brakes are beginning to squeak very loudly, and left front headlight component assembly had to be changed. *ak
