| Tl*the contact owns a 2004 lincoln ls. while driving approximately 30 mph on normal road conditions, the side-impact air bag deployed inadvertently on the front driver's side. there were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. the driver sustained minor bruising to the shoulder, face, and side of the body due to the moderate force. the police and ambulance were not called to the scene. the vehicle was still able to be driven and is currently being repaired. the failure was related to the air bag sensor. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were 24,000. | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 60 mph, the vehicle struck a tire lying in the road. the damage was in the front end between the center and passenger side below the headlight. the airbags did not deploy when this occurred. there was no inspection to determine why the airbags did not deploy. two years later, while driving up a gravel driveway, the passenger side seat airbag deployed without incident. the dealership did a diagnostic test and determined the vehicle had been in a collision causing the airbag to deploy. there was no visible damage to the vehicle and there had been no recent collision. | |||
