 Tl*the contact owns a 2000 lincoln navigator. the contact stated that the rear air bag suspension kit is deflated. the motor appears to be shorted out. he stated that the air bags appear to wind back up, but then move up and down while driving at various speeds, as if the motor was attempting to position it correctly. the contact went to the dealer, but they would not repair it for free. the dealer is charging $2,500 to inflate the air bags. there was no impact or failure with the vehicle itself. the current and failure mileages were 110,000.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2000 lincoln navigator. the contact stated that the driver side air bag deployed without warning. the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. as of november 29, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the manufacturer stated that they would investigate the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the vin and mileage information were unavailable.

 While driving srs light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. consumer was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the clock spring needed to be replaced. consumer informed the mechanic that this problem occurred on numerous occasions, and had not been resolved. *ak
