Tl- the contact owns a 2002 lincoln navigator. while the vehicle was parked at the lot of an independent mechanic waiting for repairs due to a wiring problem that was affecting the interior lights and making them flicker the vehicle caught on fire. the file was put out by the dealer. the manufacturer was contacted and stated a written report of the incident would be provided within fifteen days. the contact was informed by the manufacturers website that her vehicle was included in a recall (nhtsa campaign id number: 05v388000 component: vehicle speed control). the manufacturer did not confirm that information. the approximate failure milage was 80,000. ds

When initially starting motor it revs high, and upon take off engine continues to rev high. after having the motor mounts replaced, the problem still persists! the dealership has now found a knocking sound in the engine and said it would need to be torn down. since then they are now saying that they cannot duplicate the noises and nothing is wrong. only a few days ago they notified me of the knocking noise, which i was unaware of.*ak
