According to my , deceased wife, the problem starts on july 14, 2010. the car became bouncy in the front while in motion, we are still under extended warranty on auto maintenance. my wife went to the dealer findlay lincoln here hin sahara st las vegas regarding this problem, somehow they were able to fix the problem but after 2 weeks again the bouncy problem started to appear, again she went to the dealer to have it fix, the problem was again fix and after 3 weeks the problem again appear at this point my wife has been in and out of the hospital and was not able to bring the car in the dealership. when i came home from hawaii because of my wife illness the car was in the garage and according to my son they have not used it because of the car bounce so hard that its difficult to control the wheels. so on oct 13, 2010 i drive it to the dealer 25 miles despite of the suspension problem, since we are not under warranty anymore, i was charge $912.40 for replacing air suspension compressor, mileage is 45,076, its been a year now since i have that fix and now my front is so low that its almost touch my front tires and when i drive it it feels that my tires are uneven like riding on a bike. i have cancelled my car insurance because i cant drive it with that condition and dealer warranty is expired and the mileage is 53,423. i have faith with our american cars thats why all the cars i own since i started to drive is all american made, this is my first luxury car i have and it cost me arm and a leg but i never get to enjoy it, i am unemployed right now and have no money to fix it, also the hood suspension was out 06/2010 i have to used a piece of wood to hold the hood, is there any help you could advise me to have these problem to be a recall from the manufacturing, thank you for your time any help will be appreciated.

We have a 2004 lincoln navigator ( the second we have owned) the air suspension has never worked as well as the first navigator. the ride was very good for the first 50 thousand miles then when it was cold it would take a while for the air suspension to warm up and begin to work. in alabama it does not get that cold that many days but it was very uncomfortable on those days. finally the suspension just stopped working and the ride was terrible. took to the dealership and paid $98.00 for diagnosis. indeed the air suspension was leaking. could not give us a firm price since they would not know for sure if any damage was done inside the system. the range was from $1,200.00 to over $4,000.00. if i wanted to gamble like that i will go to the casino. after talking with several mechanics their recommendation was to install a regular suspension which cost us $850.00 including installation. car rides as good as it did and we do not have to expect the suspension to go out again. we have heard lots of stories about the same problem we had and have heard a lot of people that have had to replace the air suspension 2 times before they gave up. ford knows this is a problem and will not do a recall. one mechanic told us that the air suspension is the same one they use in the big ford suv and they never have problems with it. ford and the engineers need to solve this problem. at this time we will not purchase a third navigator even through i love the car.

Tl-the contact owns a 2004 lincoln navigator. the air suspension to the front of the vehicle was not lifting up properl for the vehicle to drive without any incident. on cold days the suspension does not allow the front to lift up high, the vehicle has to be totally warmed or the tempertaure outside has to be warm. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for inspection it was taken to three other service stations who ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle. the manufacturer was called who stated there are no recalls or warranty and she would have to pay for the repairs. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 132,500....mw

I own a 2004 lincoln navigator. i have had problems with the air bag suspension system since i have owned my vehicle. what happens is when it gets cold the system fails to operate causing the vehicle to drop down on the tires. ripping them from under the vehicle, it destroys the tires and could very easily cause an accident. i have had to replace the tires many times due to this issue. this winter alone it has been in the shop at lease 6 or 7 times. this system is no longer in use on the new navigators. ford has issued no recalls and will not assist me in getting this issue resolved. they said unless they are forced to deal with this by the nhtsa , i can no longer afford to spent thousands of dollars to resolve this issue which is clearly a mfg problem. everyone i know who owns a navigator with this system have gotten rid of them. mine is paid for and i can't afford another vehicle. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2004 lincoln navigator. after the vehicle was purchased, it began to fail. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for repairs. one month later, the suspension failed. while driving at an unknown speed, the trac indicator illuminated and the contact lost control of the vehicle. she pulled over and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. the vehicle was repaired for free. afterwards, the low beam headlights failed and the contact replaced them with two bulb mechanisms. the low beams continued to fail and the mechanic could not find any failures. the dealer stated that the wiring was not faulty, but they discovered that the ballets in the low beams were blown out. the parts were ordered and replaced by a mechanic. the bulbs blew out again within a month. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they kept it overnight to repair it again. through online research, the contact found complaints for failed ballets on his make and model vehicle. no one has been able to determine the cause of the failure. the failure mileage was 75,000 and current mileage was 98,000.

Lincoln navigator 04' has been having problems with air suspension when in cold weather under 30 degrees. front fender touching tires. the suspension won't work at all. air compressor was replaced, one of the sensors & a valve. spent over $1000 on it trying to repair and nothing fixes the problem. i took it to the dealer 3 times already and the dealer doesn't find the issue as the computer does not give a code error message. this is not a reliable car. how can a car's air suspension work on the warm weather and not on the cold?was lincoln thinking about this when making this car? i have read online and there are numerous people having the same problems up north and quite a few on the city i live in. *tr
