My 2005 lincoln navigator has suddenly stopped on several occasions. it only has 43k miles. the computer stated to check electronic throttle. i took the truck to the dealer and they told me to replace the electronic throttle body. they wanted $500+!! the truck has stopped working several times since. the manufacturer was contacted and they refused to pay! the first time it happened was on the freeway in the fast lane!! *tr

While driving on the highway full speed, the vehicle (2005 lincoln navigator) stopped and i then coasted into the emergency lane where i was able to restart the vehicle to drive to safe location. this incident occurred twice before receiving the error code in the car check electronic throttle. there was no warning before stopping luckily i was able to coast to a safe location but this could have been a catastrophic event especially with my children in the car. the car was taken to the dealer and they replaced the electronic throttle body assembly to the tune of $563.85 including labor. *tr

Dt: the consumer stated 2005 lincoln navigator was having problems with the suspension and the gear shift. the vehicle has been in the repair shop three times. the manufacturer has not been called. the consumer talked to the dealer, and they could not help him. the first time the electrical work was done, it was fixed. afterwards, the vehicle has been in the shop the past wee, and nothing has been fixed. no date was set when the vehicle will be fixed. the dealership does not know when the parts will come in. *ak
