| Tl- the contact owns a 2001 lincoln town car executive. the contact stated that the driver side door handle does not return to its fully closed position and would not remain closed, causing the door to open while the vehicle was in motion similar to nhtsa campaign id number: 08v058000 ( latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch). the manufacturer was aware of the issue; however informed the contact that her model was not involved in the previous recall and advised her to take the vehicle to a local dealer for diagnostic testing. the vehicle had not been repaired or diagnosed due to cost. the current mileages were approximately 84,000 and the failure mileages were approximately 70,000. bw | |||
