 Dt*: the contact stated while driving 65mph, the brakes appeared spongy. upon inspection by the contact, it was discovered the clamp that holds the brake line to the structure had rusted. as a result, the brake line began leaking. the vehicle is currently at the dealer for repair.

 Tl* the contact owns a 2001 lincoln towncar. the windshield wipers, air conditioning and heater have failed. the speedometer sporadically fails. the abs light was consistently illuminated on the instrument control panel. the vehicle was taken to the dealership for inspection. the technician stated that the wipers needed to be replaced at his expense. no repairs were made. the current mileage was approximately 100,000. the failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

 The brakes did not function at 30 miles per hour which caused the consumer to loose control of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they were unable to determine a cause. *jb

 After starting vehicle consumer shifted to reverse, suddenly vehicle accelerated on its own. vehicle came to a stop when it hit a fire hydrant. damage was $ 3000.00. on 28, may 2002 ,also at first start, consumer shifted to reverse and vehicle accelerated on it's own. consumer braked, but was unable to stop vehicle. vehicle came to stop when it hit a fence. damage was $ 6700.00. no injuries.*ak

 Consumer states from start up of vehicle, and when driving form 0-20 mph there is a thumping noise, consumer was informed by dealer that with this model vehicle the thump appears when the abs sensor is kicking in, consumer took vehicle back into dealership for the thumps and was informed that the accumulator in the a/c needed to be replaced, but would not correct the problem 100%, the thumps are still there.*jb

 I could not stop the car by braking, a concrete bench held me up from crossing the curb and going on to the sidewalk. i am not sure if it was the accelerator or the brakes . *ak

 When brakes were applied under normal condition pedal went to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. dealer was inspecting vehicle.*ak when the vehicle stopped, the rear wheels started to spin and smoke. dealer says ther is nothing wrong with the vehicle. *yh

 Consumer states that the brake is to close to the acceleration pedal and adjustable brake pedal is to high. mr

 Accelerator pedal and brake pedal are too close together.when applying brakes pedal goes down lower than accelerator pedal. will accidently touch accelerator pedal when applying brakes. has caused consumer to surge forward and rear end another vehicle.*akfailures have been at stopped positions. the brake pedal goes below the accelerator pedal and consumers foot winds up depressing it also. consumer has a 2000 model and experiences no problems. *jg
