Defect Summary | Certain cooper tires of various models listed above manufactured between august 6 and august 19, 2006 (dot serial weeks 3206 and 3306.) some of the subject tires may have been produced with non-conforming belt wire coat stock. if placed in service, the subject tires may develop a belt separation due to a reduced ability to prevent corrosion of the steel wires in an instance where moisture reaches the steel belt. | |||||||||||||||

Tl-the contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500 equipped with mastercraft courser a/t tires, size the contact noticed that the vehicle had a shimmy and shake; he noticed major vibration. the failure progressively became worse. the vehicle was inspected by the dealership and the contact was informed that the tires were defective. the dealer stated that the tires could not be balanced as there was a defect in the tires. the tires were installed after the vehicle was delivered at the dealership. the contact called the tire manufacturer who offered to balance the tires but the contact refused as that method had been attempted twice by the dealership; there was no resolution at the time of the complaint. the current mileage was approximately 1,020. the failure mileage was approximately 68-bk | |||

Tl- the contact owns a 1995 ford f-350 sd with mastercraft mastercraft courser a/t tires, size: 33x/12.5r16.5, dot number: upxfflj2904-h10l. while driving 65 mph, the contact stated that the drivers side rear tire's tread seperated from the tire. the dealer was not notified, but the manufacturer drafted a claim with the contact. the tire was replaced by the contact. the failure mileage was 164,161 and the current mileage was 164,181. nw | |||

I have a set of mastercraft courser a/t (cooper tires). the dot # is 3dyu 0705 2g13l. two weeks ago i had a large bubble on one tire and had it replaced. today i had another one where the tread blew out causing me to wreck. the tire store has said that the tread / metal seperated on both tires. *tr |
