| Defect Summary | Certain cooper tires of various models listed above manufactured between august 6 and august 19, 2006 (dot serial weeks 3206 and 3306.) some of the subject tires may have been produced with non-conforming belt wire coat stock. if placed in service, the subject tires may develop a belt separation due to a reduced ability to prevent corrosion of the steel wires in an instance where moisture reaches the steel belt. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2003 honda pilot. while driving 40 mph, the steering wheel shook. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the tread was separating from the tires. the tires were cooper mastercraft courser awt, size p235/70r16 (na). the vin and engine size were unknown. the current and failure mileages were 87,000. | |||

| I have had 3 tire failures due to valve stem failure. all three times we were going down the freeway and had sudden loss of air pressure. this resulted in replacing two tires on 2 vehicles and replacing stems on the remaining 6 tires. both vehicles had new tires put on about the same time at the same dealer. (april 2007) i understand from consumer report that there is a recall on dill valve stems. i am trying to determine if these stems were part of that recall. *tr | |||
