| The filler tube going to the gas tank ruptured. when i filled the tank, gas spilled on the ground. fumes are always around the truck. i paid to have this tube replaced. the truck had 53 k miles. now it has done the same thing at 74 k miles. i think that this is a very dangerous condition and is costly to keep repairing. *tr | |||

| After smelling gas and seeing a puddle in the garage floor, owner had truck towed to the dealership. dealer found the fuel tank to be leaking from the forward part of the tank, right next to the strap tie down point. fuel tank was replaced at owner's expense. please provide any further information. *ak | |||

| The original fuel tank leaked gasoline. this was not caused by an accident or any other external force. the entire tank needed to be replaced. it seems to me that a tank this old should not rupture. i work with a fellow who owns a 1994 ford ranger (same truck) that also had to replace a bad tank. if i had not noticed the odor, this could have easily created a fire. have there been any other reports of ruptures in fuel tanks for 1994 mazda or ford pickups? *ak | |||
