Defect SummaryMazda is recalling 29,000 my 2009 mazda6. the outer door handles may stick which may prevent the door from latching. this situation may allow the door to open while the vehicle is in motion.
Consequence SummaryDriving the vehicle with the door unlatched could lead to an unbelted occupant being ejected and could result in death or injury.
Corrective SummaryDealers will inspect the door handles and if necessary repair or replace the handles free of charge. the recall began on february 13, 2009. owners may contact mazda at 1-800-222-5500.

 I have a 2009 mazda 6 s touring with 18000 miles on it and the three screws that hold the drivers door latch assembly on came loose and fell out. these screws should of been locktighted in place and it seems that all the latch screws on the car were not secured not to work loose.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2009 mazda mazda6. the contact stated that they turned the defrost on and a yellow sac spider came out of the vent and bit him. the contact spoke with a pharmacist regarding the spider bite and was told that they heard of the failure with the yellow sac spider. the contact spoke with manufacturer and was told that they had considered issuing a recall notice at the end of march or the beginning of april, because this happened in other countries. the contact stated that the manufacturer came to his home, retrieved the vehicle, inspected it by placing a stick and a brush inside the fuel line. if there were no spiders in the fuel line, they would return the vehicle. the contact was concerned since they were not checking the air vents where the spider was. the contact was concerned about the safety risk since the spiders could come out of the vents while driving. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage and current mileage was 17,800.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2009 mazda mazda6. the contact stated that while driving, the psi warning light illuminated. the front driver side tire deflated immediately after the warning light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to a repair shop where the contact was advised that there was corrosion on the valve stem for the four tires. the front driver side valve was completely damaged by corrosion.the vehicle was repaired by replacing the four valve stems and the tires. the manufacturer was not made aware of failure. the current mileage and failure mileage was 48,888. kmj

 2009 mazda 6. consumer writes regarding outer door handle voluntary safety recall 5209a *tgw the consumer stated the dashboard indicator light illuminated indicating that one of the doors was still open while the vehicle was in motion. despite checking to make sure all the doors were securely closed, the light continued to stay on, until the consumer stopped and turned off the engine. also, the abs, tcs and brake indicators illuminated as well. the consumer then discovered he was not able to lock the vehicle by using the lock button on the driver's side door handle. the button was non-responsive and symptoms only worsened as time went by. the consumer went to a repair facility and a diagnostics test revealed the faulty door handle was the reason for the malfunction. the consumer stated he was never informed of the recall. when the consumer went back to the dealer, he was informed, his vin was not included. *jb
