 Purchased vehicle brand new from dealer (crossroads mazda in cary, nc) and from day 1 have had issues with the engine and the check engine light. transmission completely replaced in may 2004 (right after it went out of warranty); continual problems with check engine light illuminating for no reason and as of 12/08, cannot get car inspected due to check engine light; requesting a repair waiver since this is a known mazda issue and they have done nothing to resolve/assist their customers. *tr

 Consumer stated that transmission failed. consumer had three transmissions replaced, and currently will have the fourth transmission replaced. while driving consumer would get the feeling as if someone hit her in the rear. then, vehicle jerked when consumer pushed on the gas pedal. she, took the vehicle to the dealer, and each time, it was the transmission. *ak

 While parked and idling, vehicle suddenly accelerated and inadvertently jumped out of gear and forced vehicle forward into a palm tree before stopping. vehicle at body shop for repairs. *ak the consumer stated that the dealer refused to do a computer check to determine the reason why the vehicle took off while it was in park with the engine running. *yh
