| The front cup holders will fail to hold a drink when the vehicle makes tight turns. the cup holder uses an adjustable lever to hold the cup in place. this lever offers insufficient resistance to hold the cup securely. this failure can lead to drinks falling on the floor which can cause a safety hazard for the driver. mazda has redesigned the cup holder in the 2002 model, but has failed to offer the updated cup holder to previous model year vehicles.
