| I begin to smell fumes after a fill up and replaced the filler cap. this did not solve the problem and the problem progressed. i was told by the dealership were i purchased the car that the fuel tank was leaking. the dealer wants $3,000.00 to repair something that should not be happening under normal ware. | |||

| There is a strong gasoline smell coming from the car after i filled up at the local gas station. i noticed the smell was very strong in my garage and was able to trace it to my mercedes 2003 e320. it only has 40,000 miles on the odometer and is maintained on a regular basis at my local mercedes dealer. | |||

| Very strong fuel odor at driver's side rear wheel well after filling fuel tank. no leaking fuel detected. odor so strong that i am not able to leave the vehicle in the garage due to safety concerns. | |||

| I have realized for quite some time now that my car had inside gas fumes and i was loosing gas, as well as my gas fuel indicator being off, but i did not understand why, until recently. my service engine light came on as well as the fact that when i fill my gas tank, it leaks. i recently had a mechanic diagnose the problem as leak in the gas tank as well as leaky/bad seals and the fuel pump assembly and fuel sender need to be replaced. the recommended work is very expensive, which i cannot afford. i inquired at the mercedes dealership and was told there is no recall and mb would not do anything about the problem. i now feel very unsafe driving this vehicle as well as having my grandchildren ride in my car, and do not think this should have happened. i have always taken very good care of my car. hoping you can help me with this matter. thank you. *tr | |||
