| I started smelling a stong gasoline smell after filling the gas tank on this car. after the car was driven for about 50 miles, the smell would go away. today, may 16, 2012, i took the car to a denver mecedes dealer to ask about the problem. dealer reported that there was a crack in the fuel tank, next to the top left fuel pump. this seems to be the same problem related to your investigation on pe 12-001. the dealer asked for $2000 to repair this problem. i am waiting for the repair pending this investigation and mercedes response. | |||
