A strong fuel smell was noticed in the passenger cabin and outside the car after filling the tank. on 5/10/11, the dealer replaced the driver side sender unit p/n 2114703894 and seal ring p/n 2114710579. on 9/26/12, the same strong fuel smell was noticed in the cabin (again). the dealer replaced the same exact two parts on the driver (left) side. the sender units are accessed from under the back seat, which puts the overwhelming fumes in the cabin. i have read that this is a common problem for the w211 models, which is a very dangerous situation. i am concerned that this will happen again and result in a fire, explosion, or illness from the fumes. my children sit on the back seat that could become soaked with fuel. *tr
