 Tl* the contact owns a 2000 mercury grand marquis. the contact stated that while sitting in an intersection with the brakes depressed, the vehicle abnormally accelerated and lightly crashed into another vehicle. the air bags then deployed abnormally, several moments after the crash occurred. the contact was injured by the air bag and sustained lacerations to his left arm. a police report was filed. the vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised that the air bags should not have deployed without a forceful impact. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2000 mercury grand marquis. the contact stated that while waiting at an intersection the vehicle surged forward into another vehicle. after the slight impact of the other vehicle the air bags exploded without any warning. the police were called and a report was available. the contact received slight abrasions to his left arm, but was not transported to the hospital. the vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised him that the air bags should not have exploded without a forceful impact. the vehicle was repaired for the air bags. the manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 200,000. tb

 2000 mercury grand marquis air bags failed to inflate in an accident. consumer states that he was involved in an accident and that the air bags did not inflate. consumer sent a complaint to ford and never received a response. *kb

 While driving the consumers wife loss control of the steering wheel and hit the rails on both sides. the vehicle headed into a ditch on the left side, the consumer yanked the wheel to send the vehicle straight but instead the went across two lanes and slammed into the median. the dealer was notified. the air bags did not deploy. at the time of the accident, the consumer was working the electronic passenger seat controls and the consumer wanted to know if there was any connection. *ak *scc the mechanic claimed the ball joint failure caused the accident, the ball joint had no grease. *jb
