 Tl- the contact owns a 2005 mercury grand marquis. the contact stated that while parked, the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the technician advised the contact that the passenger side seat belt kit would have to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired however, the air bag warning light re-illuminated. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the technician then advised that the front driver side seat belt kit would have to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 90,000. kmj

 My daughter and i were rear ended and our 2005 mercury grand marquis gs airbags never deployed in spite of being hit three times by a delivery driver with a box truck at the intersection of pembroke and dixie highway in hollywood. i just learned on national tv that ford obtained fake airbags from suppliers in china. if this is or isn't true, should ford compensate us in some way? *tr

 My daughter and i were rear ended and our 2005 mercury grand marquis gs airbags never deployed in spite of being hit three times by a delivery driver with a box truck at the intersection of pembroke and dixie highway in hollywood. i just learned on national tv that ford obtained fake airbags from suppliers in china. if this is or isn't true, should ford compensate us in some way?

 Car was slowing for red light, stepped on brake, engine oversped, vehicle was uncontrollable, collided with pick up truck ahead, pick up was pushed into a compact car ahead. air bags did not deploy. clouds of smoke behind my car and tire marks on roadway confirmed brake pedal, not accelerator, was depressed. car experienced a slight overspeed on a previous occasion. *tr

 Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's airbags did not deploy after colliding head on with another vehicle. the contact approached a traffic light at 30 mph to turn left when another vehicle ran the red light and caused the collision. the air bags did not deploy and injuries were sustained. the police was contacted and a report was taken. the vehicle was towed to the dealer who offered no explanation as to why the air bags did not deploy. updated 08/29/06. *jb

 2005 grand marquis passenger side air bag light illuminated. *ts the air bag light remained on unless the person sitting in the passenger seat weighed 190 lbs or more. a representative of the manufacturer called and explained that did everything they could do until the part was recalled. *nm

 Dt: the contact stated while going through an intersection another vehicle ran a stop sign and struck the contact's vehicle on the side. upon impact, the contact's vehicle was knocked into another lane and was hit head on by a third vehicle. this second impact caused the other vehicle to tail spin and was hit in the rear by the first vehicle. the side air bags didn't deploy, but the frontal air bags did. the contact was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. there was extensive damage to the side of the vehicle, the outer column was pushed into the seat, and the dashboard came apart. the contact and passenger sustained injuries. the vehicle was totaled by the insurance company. *ak updated 01/25/06. *jb
