	Tl-the contact owns a 2007 mercury mariner. the contact stated that the vehicle would not go into gear when trying to shift. the vehicle was taken to a dealer and they advised her that the automatic transmission assembly oil cooler, valve, gaskets, drive plate steel, pistons, seals, screens, etc needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired for the components stated above. approximately 20,000 miles later the transmission had experienced the same failure again. the manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 42,000. tb

	Tl*the contact owns a 2007 mercury grand marquis. while driving approximately 35 mph and proceeding to a complete stop, the vehicle surged forward when the brake pedal was depressed. the contact disengaged the clutch and moved the gear shifter to the park position. the vehicle was able to be driven to the contact's residence. there were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. the authorized dealer was notified and scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic testing. the contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. the current and failure mileages were 29,430.
