I have experienced this problem twice. the car loses power, traveling at 65mph on highway and car lost all power. the wrench light came on. pulled over, turned car off and restarted. light went off and car was drivable. the second time occurred while car was stopped and when i proceeded to accelerate, the car had no power. i took it to the ford dealer and they said the throttle body needed to be replaced as it had a short. this was not included in my powertrain warranty. i have read info on this and it appears that it is becoming more common. it is too dangerous to be losing power while driving on a freeway and lose all power. this car only had 36,500 miles so no reason unless it is a defective part. *tr |
