 Tl* the contact owns a 2005 mini cooper convertible s. the contact stated that coolant began to leak from the vehicle abnormally and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. the dealer replaced the thermostat which he found to be fractured. later, the contact began to experience failures with the rear brakes. the dealer replaced the brake pads and rotors and later, the contact began to experience an abnormal rattling from the clutch. the dealer then advised that the clutch and fly wheel would need to be replaced. the dealer also advised that there was a technical service bulletin issued by the manufacturer (nhtsa item number : 10025903- power train:manual transmission) regarding replacing the clutch with a newly designed clutch and fly wheel. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 28,800.

 Tl. the contact owns a 2005 mini cooper convertible s. the contact while driving the coolant begin to leak from the engine. the contact had to pull over and have the vehicle towed to the dealer. the dealer replaced the thermostat which had cracked. after the repairs the contact experienced rear brake problems. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and the dealer replace the brake pads and rotors at 28,8000 miles. the contact stated the clutch is malfunctioning. the clutch make a rattling noise so the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer. the dealer stated the clutch and fly wheel needs to be replaced. the dealer stated the manufacturer has issue a tsb regarding replacing the clutch with a newly designed clutch and fly wheel. the vehicle has not been repaired. the contact stated if the clutch goes out while on the highway the vehicle could cause a crash. the failure mileage was 28,800. jo

 2005 mini cooper s convertible - pending a second replacement of the power steering pump/cooling fan assembly due to failure - the whole assembly was replaced 18 months ago and the replacement fan has already stopped running, causing a severe leak of ps fluid (twice found completely empty) and resultant power steering failure. first failure summer 2008, repeat failure winter 2010.
