| Faulty brakes-in dec,2002, had to hit brakes when vehicle pulled in front of me. i immediately lost control of vehicle-no steering- and car spun several times. appeared brakes locked up even though i have abs system. *jb 2/2003-same thing. was couple lengths behind vehicle when car in front suddenly pulled to left lane because a veh had almost stopped in road. when i pushed on brakes, they again locked up with no steering control causing me to hit vehicle in front of me even though i was trying to steer vehicle off into emer lane. was going about 55 and air bags did not even deploy. had problems with brakes/tires squeaking in 12/2001 & took in for repair. was told it was a transmission problem & was repaired under warranty but car still clicked during turns. | |||

| Brakes make a high-pitched squeaking sound when i brake. the car requires alot of braking time & distance to stop - it doesn't stop quickly. the car has died on 4 occasions. three times were at red lights, the fourth i was going about 35 miles an hour. i notifed the nearest dealer (in norco california). the manager of the repair shop had me bring the car in (an hour drive) & then said he was too busy to look at my car when i arrived. i asked if i could leave it & take a replacement or rental car until he had time to inspect the car. he said no, i should just bring it back another day.*ak | |||

| Was driving 35mph & applied brakes which were going up & down. they failed to stop vehicle. would shimmy or shake when making turns. was going down hill, and went into a skid. crossed double line to the left while trying to go right. steering was uncontrollable. another vehicle t boned the vehicle on passenger side. air bags deployed. vehicle was only 34 days old. | |||

| I had a after market accessory added to the car. however when problem occurred i had the accessory disconnected so we could find the true problem. dealer did replace the actuator and that temporily fixed the problem. my brakes squeak and the dealer said that they build up a thin layer of rust when the car sits even for a short time. thus causing the squeaks. if this is true why don't you hear every car squeak as they stop at a light? *ak | |||

| Braking produces squeaking and rubbing sounds even after rotors were turned & replaced. multiple pad replacements over the course of the last 3 years. the repeated rubbing and squeaking sounds occur even after brake service after less than 1500 miles. *ak transmission: car is slow to accelerate and sometimes stales upon acceleration attempts from 0 to 40 miles/hour. engine check light keeps coming on....o2 sensor(s) replaced.....catalytic converter problem??????? the car passed its emmission control inspection. | |||
