Every time i apply the brakes it makes a rapidly pulsating sensation like the abs is engaging, even when i'm going at a slow speed or when i'm not making a rapid stop, have taken it in to huntington beach mitsubishi 2/23/09 - they ordered rear brake shoes, 03/05/09 - replaced rear brake shoes and machined front rotors per tsb, 06/30/09 - advise turn drums, 10/20/09 - order front rotors (for which they made me pay, applied stop squeak, 10/22/09 - brake job front end, replaced pads and applied stop squeak (i paid for pads and stop squeak) 05/05/10 same problem they told me they're waiting on dpsm, and now they want me to come in monday 7/24/10 for another brake job, even though i've said that is not taking care of the problem and how many times can the rotors be turned before i have to replace them again. i did not ask for the old parts. they have never addressed the abs, even when i showed them a copy of recall notice on the abs #06v038000 i bought this raider pickup new in 2006 to last me for my old age. i can't afford to keep getting a new brake job every 6,000 miles

I have a 2006 mitsubishi raider that has electrical issues, sometimes the dash lights go out, all the gauges quit working, including speedometer and the radio cuts off.....sometimes daily, weekly, monthly. even after taking to dealer numerous times. rear brakes have been locking up and 'dragging' upon stopping sometimes, hasn't done it lately, i think the part may have finally broke. there is a recall on this item, but dealer says my truck was not in that series of serial numbers the defect was found in, although it does the same thing as the recalled trucks made the same year as mine. now the rear brake drum is leaking brake fluid. truck has 36, 000 on it, dealers have been no help whatsoever on any of the issues. *tr

I have had (2) occasions when i applied my brakes hard suddenly and lost control of my vehicle because it continued to slide. i took it in to have it inspected and the service technician did confirm that my vehicle does exactly what i stated and he informed me that i have abs brakes on the rear and not on the front and therefore a sudden, forceful stop will cause my front wheels to lock up. this has been stated in writing on the service sheet. therefore, when the front wheels lock up, the vehicle slides and i lose control. i called mitsubishi and they said that it is normal for the brakes to function this way and there are no problems. i find this very unacceptable and i am now very fearful of having to make a sudden stop. there have been recalls on certain of these vehicles (raiders) but i was told mine was not one of them. however, i seem to experience exactly what the recalled vehicles experience. *jb
