I have a 2008 monaco, admiral class a motor home on a workhorse chassis. the failure occured on the un-used gasoline tank fill port. this port allows the manufacturer to have the fill port on either side. the unused fill port was sealed off with a short length of radiator hose, which will fail in the presence of gasoline, and a metric hose plug. both were sealed with pipe clamps. after filling up the tank in tuscon az, costco we went into the store and came out a few minutes later to find a 1/8 or better stream of gasoline coming out of the side of the tank. we immeadiately turned off the propane refrigerator and went to a safe area with a dirt/gravel base. a servie technician removed the plug (which i still have) and replaced it with hose designed for fuel. if we had not come back immeadiately to the motorhome the propane referigator, a passing smoker, or a spark could have caused a major conflagaration with the losss of life. a recall alert should be issued to inspect and replace if necessary the un-used fill ports on workhorse chassis. the fill port hose used on my moter home on the other side was correct. the choice of a monaco admiral does not appear on the choices in the following page please contact me if you need a sample of the failed hose or wish more information
