 Please refer to data submitted on 9/15/2002 odi number: 767202. also, please correct the failure to be an automatic transmission not a manual. since the originial complaint, i have discoverd that there are many more failures that i had i new of at that time. please i ask you again to recall these very dangerous motorhomes from the highways before soeone is killed. monaco corporation is fully aware of these defective transmission coolers and have a specific program in place to fix them after they fail. per oregon laws this is criminal if not disclosed to purchaser prior to sale, which is not being done at this time. my full intent is to get these motorhomes recalled and fixed prior to failure. monaco has stated that ther are over 200,000 motorhomes out there that have a potential failure. they just don't know which ones. monaco makes holiday rambler, beaver, and safari in addition to the monaco coaches. please respond asp via mail to myself stan reynolds 2440 republic way medfor or, 97504ss. dt
POWER TRAIN - MANUAL TRANSMISSION

 This transmission problem was reported to the dealer on 09/05/2002. the vehicle was taken on two test drives by the technician along with myself and my spouse. his diagnosis was , that the transmisson has a memory and the erratic shifting and lurching w as its way of adapting to my driving style. the other dangerous problem, on the road, is when this transmission lets go, it throws oily substance all over the vehicles in back of you and on the roadway. monaco coach corp has a on going program in place with pacific detroit diesel - allison. the problem is known by monaco coch corp. why are these potentially life threating very heavy vehicles on the highways. please, i beg you, to get these off the roads before someone is injured or killed.. please call me asp........ 541 773-2856 monaco coach corp. was advised, in person, by my wife and myself on 09/13/2002. thank god our motorhome is off the road and needs a new transmision cooler and rebuilt transmssion. nlm

 Tl*the contact owns a 2002 monaco windsor coach. the contact stated that the vehicle is dangerous because it exceeds the legal weight limit on the front axle. the legal weight limit is 18,000 lbs. and the vehicle has between 20,000-23,000 lbs. the contact reported this to the dealer and to monaco, but was not offered any assistance. the failure mileage was unknown.
