Perforated leather seat in my 2003 350z popped open in hot weather. i was lucky enough to find the matching burnt orange leather on ebay and repaired locally. additionally the regular leather on the seat is wearing extremely fast. it will have to be replaced as well. burnt orange leather does not grow on trees around here. the mileage is low by many standards, but out of the 36k warranty window. *tr

350z track model driver's seat moves side to side when turning. makes a knocking noise and you feel the seat shift. has been verified by hill nissan, but they say that there is no fix available for it, and that replacing the seat with a similar one would leave me with the same problem. they said if a fix became available, they would inform me. i am worried that the seat is not structurally sound. date given for occurrence is a guess at first notice of it. it occurs constantly.

My complaint is actually with nissan of america. i just purchased a new 350z and have a problem with the driver seat shifting and knocking. the dealearship agreed there seemed to be a problem and replaced the driver seat track but the same thing still happens. they said to contact nissan usa which i did. nissan usa said they would get right back to me and still have not. it's been over 6 weeks now and they haven't bothered to return any of my calls or email. my file number at nissan usa consumer affairs is 4001914. the dealership has also filed a case with their tech line and the incident number is 556922. the person that handled the call is timothy and his employee number is 3662. in a nut shell i would say my complaint is about nissans inability to fix the problem with the driver seat. i feel it is unsafe and very annoying (it shifts around and is not solid). they in fact did try to repair the vehicle but were unsuccessful. now nissan usa is saying that it is by design the way it is. i would appreciate any help you might be able to provide in this matter.thanks, gordon mcelroy

350z track edition. driver seat shifts while cornering. problems seems to be with the manual adjustment in the lower seat portion. the lower part of the seat seems to be separate from the seat track and is not solid. when making left or right turns the seat knocks. this feels very unsafe, not to mention annoying. dealer has checked, but since there is no service bulletin on it, they are not sure what to do. i requested a replacement seat. we'll see. i wonder if this problem exists on power seats as well.*ak
