While driving in traffic along a uphill i engaged the clutch pedal to shift into 2nd gear when the clutch pedal did not disengage as i let off my foot. instead, the vehicle automatically revved itself up to 6500 rpm while rolling back. as the clutch pedal was stuck there was an absurd amount of burning odor, smelled like the clutch was being burned. i had to immediately turn the car off, luckily the car behind me had enough time to move out of the way. almost crashed because of this and was unable to drive it from that point on.

2007 nissan 350z m/t was being driven at 35mph and the clutch peddle dropped to half way and would not return back to original position. had to reach down and manually pull the clutch pedal back to position. took to nissan dealership and they inspected the car and found nothing wrong with the vehicle. the problem was shown to dealer and service technician who drove it for 8 miles and claimed nothing was wrong. the vehicle was being driven few days later and clutch went down even further and would not go into gear. clutch fluid was completely empty and leaking out of the transmission housing. *tr

My cars clutch will stick to the floor for a second or 2.took to dealer and they said i need to authorize tear down to check problem(i need to pay).the car had 2500 mi on it when it happened before. it is intermittent. car has 5,900 mi., know and it happens more often. nissan customer service is looking into it because i won't pay for a problem that exist with this car. nissans campaign id# p7252 covers cars like mine but stops 138 cars bye the vin#.this is potentially a problem merging into traffic if you can't accelerate! *tr

2007 nissan 350z clutch problem, the problem happened when i left the dealership, the clutch slips in traffic, after it heats up the poorly made product starts to slip. i thought about having it replaced because i have warranty but its a problem in all the 07 350z's. replacing a poorly designed clutch with another poorly designed clutch really wouldn't help. there needs to be a recall on this! *tr

My 2007 nissan 305z showed no previous signs of failure until the clutch pedal got stuck to the floor as i drove down one of the busiest streets in my city. this happened saturday night 02/09/2008 around 9pm. parked the vehicle at a friends who happened to live nearby and will wait until monday before getting it towed to the dealer. (since dealerships are not open on a sunday) many people have been complaining about the cylinder assy-clutch recall all over car enthusiast forums. *tr

The clutch on my 2007 350z is going out for not the first but the second time with less than 18,000 miles on it. the clutch constantly has a burning smell no matter how the car is driven. the throw out bearing rattles constantly when clutch is not enganged. this is becoming a safety issue because the first time my clutch went out i was driving on the highway and was just barely lucky enough to coast it off the ramp into a parking lot. *tr

I was driving my 2007 nissan 350z with manual transmission, and my clutch was getting stuck. i did my research and figured out that there was a problem with the slave cylinder, or the clutch fluid, because i had run into people with the same problems. i then took my car to the dealership, and they had told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong. there have been more moments when i am driving, i shift gears, and release the clutch and give it gas, and it just accelerates more! this almost caused me to get into an accident. *tr

While in rush hour traffic my clutch pedal stuck to the floor causing the car to fill with smoke and rendering the car temporally inoperable after a few minutes i pumped the pedal and was able to continue home. the next morning the dealer informed me that i had worn out a clutch in 4000 miles and they would not warranty my problem. *tr

 1) i purchased a brand new 2007 350z, and after 1,700 miles the clutch pedal began to stick to the floor and lose pressure, the only way to get it back was to put your foot under the pedal and push up on it. this happened to me about 20 times, and in various conditions (highway/city). i had brought it to ira nissan in woburn two times asking them to fix or look into it and both time they told me they could not replicate. 2) in early october i was driving home from my girlfriend father?s house, and the clutch pedal stick the floor. the clutch wouldn't disengage; it had no pressure no matter what i did. i was on roughly 70 mph on the interstate and i could not take the car out of gear to slow down. i literally had to force the car out of gear and slow down with brakes so the car wouldn't stall out. the whole experience was very frightening, if i had to for some reason actually speed up to move out of the way of an emergency vehicle or for my own safety i could not. after some investigation, i noticed that was no clutch fluid at all. a brand new car with less than 7,000 miles should no be running out of clutch fluid like that. there was a gas station across the street so we purchased some brake fluid pumped the clutch and it was ok. i drove it home, and the next morning the fluid was gone again. this time i didn't mess around i called aaa, and had them tow my car to nissan dealership and told them it was coming. i also called corporate nissan to file a complaint and start and official paper trail. 3) that next afternoon after the tow to ira nissan in woburn (same location as the other 2 times) i was called by the service manager and they told me they can replicate and are going to have to change the entire clutch assembly including master and slave cylinders. the said it would take 3-4 days to get the parts and about a days work. it was all covered under warranty and i was actually given a rental car. but there is an issue that nissan refuses to accept. *tr

Clutch sticking to floor after long drives.... *tr
10/07/20075300206/19/2007
The car was driving normally and gave no signs to any type of pending failure. the 2007 350z model year has some form of clutch deficiency. the clutch sometimes drops to the floor requiring it to be pumped up but can lead to stalling the engine or being stranded in traffic. my problem caused me to be stranded on the road in traffic until the clutch regained pressure and let me drive on. the problem is that after the initial failure the clutch randomly seems to lose pressure and causes it to be very difficult to shift into gear without slipping. the dealer claimed that they couldn't reproduce the problem and also claimed that there was no previous history of a problem although there are numerous documented cases of the problem. *tr

I recently bought a nissan 350z 2007 base model manual transmission i noticed that there's time when i press the clutch the clutch does return back and that car does not move. this is a problem because if im in the middle of a intersection and there's car coming if my clutch petal does not return to the normal position i could be in a serious crash thank you *tr

I experienced a safety related issue with my car. while i was driving, shifting from 1st to 2nd gear at about 6,000rpm and the clutch pedal stuck on the floor and it took an unusually long amount of time for it to return to the rest position. the clutch pedal was stuck on the floor of the car for about 2 seconds, when it should have been immediate. *tr

During heavy traffic or moderate acceleration, my 2007 nissan 350z clutch pedal will fall to the floor, causing the car to lose power to the wheels. the first incident was reported to sutherlin nissan at 1,500 miles, and the clutch slave cylinder was replaced under warranty at 11,500 miles. within one day after getting the car back, the same problem showed up, during a traffic jam. the problem was reported again, and after 8,500 miles and several complaints to the dealer, and finally nissan of north america, the car is in the shop again. the dealer refused to try and fix the vehicle again until i filed a complaint with nissan of north america. this time the problem became so severe, you could not drive the car in moderate to heavy traffic, without the fear of losing the clutch pedal pressure. the problem started in march of 2007, the first repair was in early summer, 2007, the problem has continued, and gotten much worse since then, making it dangerous in heavy traffic, and is now at the dealer for repair, as of november 17th. there have been so many clutch pedal pressure failures, i have lost count, but estimate the failures have been in the hundreds, as the problem occurs several times daily, during commutes in heavy traffic, which i will no longer drive the car in until the problem is corrected. *tr

Slave cylinder and clutch problems with my 2007 nissan 350z. i bought the car used in october of 2008. a month after purchasing it i took off from a stop light and the clutch slipped very bad. i looked into, it, saw the slave cylinder was a recall and brought it in. i asked about the clutch and replacing it and they said no because the clutch is a wear item. yes its a wear item, but no clutch should be slipping at 20,000mi. the reason the clutch slips is because of the slave cylinder. even after the recall was the done the clutch still slips and the dealership refuses to replace the clutch

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 nissan 350z. while driving between 20-25 mph, the engine revved and the rpms increased to 4,000 when the vehicle came to a stop. the clutch pedal extended to the floor when it was depressed. the contact smelled a burning odor outside of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the vehicle was operating properly because the failures could not be duplicated. the failures recurred on a separate occasion. the vin was unable to be entered into the system. the failure mileage was 20,000 and current mileage was 21,000. updated 07/17/09 *bf the consumer stated starting from a complete stop, revved to 4,500 rpm let out the clutch, and the pedal remained stuck to the floor. then there was a burning smell. updated 07/20/09.*jb

Clutch goes hard and doesn't allow you to disengage clutch....once disengaged it will not come off the floor to go back in gear. this prohibits the driver to reengage clutch...happens sporadically after 30+ mins of driving...almost crashed twice... *tr

While driving in heavy stop and go traffic, the clutch pedal stuck to the floor of the car and would not return to it proper upright position. i had to work my way off the freeway with out the use of a clutch. i had to stop and start the engine as i made my way off the freeway. after setting on the side of the road, the clutch returned to its normal upright position and has worked since. i'm avoiding heavy stop and go traffic. the problem has not happened since. *tr

Multiple clutch/transmission issues. issue involves the clutch pedal sinking to the floor and loosing nearly all, or all of its pressure. clutch fails to return to normal until the car sits until cool. first incident was during normal driving; while going through a interception a car ran the red light, when i downshifted to a lower gear to more, the clutch failed to hold the gear and fell to the floor, the other car managed to stopped but i was idle in the road unable to move. second incident involved traffic going up a local bridge crossing the mississippi river. the clutch again gave out after a few mins of stop and go. i had to pull the ebrake to keep from rolling backwards and was unable to continue uphill for roughly 10mins. no injuries or damaged accrued from these events, but they were each close calls. i have not yet to bring the car to my dealer due to my work schedule. to date many others are having the same issue. *tr
