| Recllined front passenger seats make seatbelt ineffective. inadequate warning to passengers. warnings listed in owner's manuel only. need warning in sight of passenger. this is a problem with most cars, not one particular manufacturer. | |||

| Traveling eastbound on a three lane local road at the speed of 35 mph with the right of way of a solid green light, a man failed to yield making left turn and ended up colliding with me and deflecting my vehicle towards a wall on the roadside. at impact my 2001 nissan altima gxe limited edition deployed both driver and passenger airbags. my safety belt was fastened at the time of the collision and the seat belt failed to lock my body in place which led to my head being pushed into the windshield, which left me to blackout and glass stuck in various parts of my head. this left scars on my face and severe whiplash on my neck. nothing has been done to correct this defect, the front end of my vehicle has been totaled. this was at 35 mph only and i have two swollen knees, my whole back and neck damaged, both wrists have been injured and other parts of my body. not including my mental health, constant anxiety and stress. even the police officers and other people say that injuries wouldn't have been as bad if the seat belt locked (the seatbelt failed to lock). *jb | |||

| I was traveling at about 15-20 miles an hour in my 2001 nissan altima gxe le. a truck cut me off and i was forced to slam on my brakes. in turn my car slammed into the truck in front of me. my seat belt did not lock and my airbag did not deploy. my brakes locked up and my head bounced of my steering wheel. i would like to know why my seat belt did not lock and why my airbag did not deploy. my car has been totaled out by my insurance company as a total loss. as far as corrective action none was taken as the car is destroyed. *jb | |||

| Seat belt did not lock in crash. also, airbag did not deploy. speed was below 35, but other vehicle's speed was also below 35 and it's airbags did deploy. other vehicle was 95 nissan maxima. call or email with any questions. thanks. *ak | |||

| Consumer was traveling about 30mph on highway on a bridge and it was raining. he applied brakes three times, and braking system locked up because there was another vehicle in front of him. vehicle slid and hit vehicle in front. upon impact, airbags didn't come out, but airbag light did come on. dealership was aware of problem.*ak consumer states the three point restraint system also failed, 2 people were injured in accident. *slc | |||
