Defect SummaryNissan is recalling certain vehicles that were equipped with a garmin nuvi model 750 navigation system. the batteries contained in the affected gps units can overheat.
Consequence SummaryOverheated batteries could result in a fire.
Corrective SummaryNissan will notify owners and the repairs will be performed by garmin technicians by replacing the battery and inserting a spacer on top of the battery free of charge. the safety recall is expected to begin during september 2010. owners may contact garmin directly at 1-866-957-1981 or nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

 I just bought a 2008 nissan altima and my brake light comes on when i accelerate. i have taken it to the dealership and they are saying that i have a master cylinder leak. there is definitely a problem .

 The windows in my 2008 nissan altima come down for no apparent reason, when left in a parking lot and away from car - the 2 front windows come down i googled this problem and found probably a hundred others having the same issue with no apparent solution being offered by nissan here is the web site listing all the complaints- http://getsatisfaction.com/nissan/topics/the_windows_in_my_2008_nissan_altima_roll_down_automatically_and_corporate_nissan_doesnt_think_its_a_big_deal this is the 3rd time this has happened , at first i thought this couldn't have happened , i must of forgot and left them down , but after the 2nd time , i said no way
