	Heard unusual noises under the car and stopped by for mechanic to take a look. he reported that the rear sway bar has snapped at the connection point with no sign of damage otherwise to the bar. i am basically the only driver of this car and there is no reason whatsoever why this should have happened. i see from researching online that this is a common problem with the 2007 altima - the bar is obviously defective and the problem should be addressed by nissan. and i am not happy about the estimated cost of $500 to have it fixed.

	I took my vehicle in to have the oil change done and was informed by the technician that the rear stabilizer bar on the passenger side was broken and a section of it was hanging down. i immediately took my vehicle to the dealership, where they placed it on the rack and confirmed this information. the broken stabilizer bar was removed and an order placed for the new part. the service manager at the dealership confirmed that there were no signs of abuse and that they just don't know what caused this! *tr
