 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 nissan frontier. the contact stated that the radiator was cracked and allowed coolant to enter the transmission. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the transmission and radiator would possibly require replacement but first, a diagnostic was required. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure and current mileage was 101,000.

 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 nissan frontier. the contact stated that coolant was leaking into the transmission. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in any recalls. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not available. the failure and current mileage was 72,410.

 Nissan frontier; truck pick up an vibration that turn into alot of jerking.t alk to the dealer about it,they said to check trans fluid to see if it had a strawberry color to it. if so the radiators was probably cracked and that coolant seep into the trans causing server trans failure. have no warrenty.computer in trans is damage. now valve body got to be replace with computer board along with all new clutches and radiator going to cost around 5 grand to fix. *tr

 Nissan radiator/transmission cooler needs to be replaced at a cost of $3,000 for vehicles up to 100,000 after a class action suit was done. nissan is acknowledging the problem and i feel this should be cause of a recall and that nissan should pay the full cost to replace. this cost represent 1/2 of the kelly blue book value on the vehicle. the vehicle is non-operable. the cost also represents about 15% of what the vehicle was originally purchased for. after speaking with nissan consumers affairs, they say there is nothing else to but to contact you to try to change it to a full recall. *tr

 As i am driving, the transmission will not shift at 40 mph. i pull over and find out that it will not go into reverse, either. i drive over to the nissan dealership and find out that the part of the radiator that connects to the tranny has cracked and dumped all of the radiator fluid into the tranny, killing it. i need a new radiator and transmission. nissan is covering the costs (for repairs but not alternate transportation for the week that it is taking to fix this) but upon returning home and looking online, i found out that nissan has known about this problem for about 5 years and instead of doing a recall (costing lots of money), they extended the warranty on the radiator assembly from 3 years/36,000 miles to 8 years/96,000 miles hoping that problems will occur after that time and then they are off the hook for repairs. how dangerous could this have been under different circumstances. i am angry and disgusted with the way nissan has handled a problem they know could have caused a serious safety risk. *tr

 Known issues with faulty radiators is causing it to fail and mix antifreeze into the transmission causing the transmission to fail.. the result is a ~$9200 bill from your dealership for a new transmission and radiator.. nissan absolutely refused to take ownership of this issue making me the owner of my 4th nissan truck to pay.. *tr

 On july 2011 had to pay for new transmission for my truck after the radiator leaked in to the transmission, talked with nissan and tried to get them to stand behind it and they said they would have if the truck was, in side the new warranty they had put out but i was at 91611. they know what is wrong and how to fix this. they have to put the transmission cooler on the out side of the radiator about $ 200.00 fix.this replace cost, me more than $ 6000.00 to get fixed. now at 97980 miles we are back at the shop having the same thing, done over again, this time they are covering after i had to have a out side tech come in and prove that this was happening again. the first said it had to be replaced and then they had another one check it and said i was hearing the tires and the transmission was good. i would not pick up my truck because the 12 month warranty was about to run out on july 26 2012 . after the out side tec checked it out and said the transmission had coolant mixed with it they ordered every thing new again...should not have had to pay for the first one.. *tr

 At 7600 miles i haer a noise on the engine and check engine ligths came on and gas gauge star reading empty went was full i took to the deale they told me the noise was coming from some where in the engine they never told me was timing,chain,i took to a local repair shop and they found out that timing chain was the problem ,the check engine ligth at the dealer told me tha was the that the reason for the gas tank read empty was t due a gas module

 Frontier has developed a buzzing/whining sound that is a well documented and common timing chain problem this is not just my vehicle, but with most of nissan's models since 2005, which is when they redesigned and began using the 4.0l v6 engine in these vehicles. nissan recognizes the problem in tsb's ntb 07-42a, ntb09-128, and ntb07-042c, but refuses to issue a recall and if your warranty is up you are on the hook for the repair. ordinarily i would understand that, as all parts wear out, but in this case, the failure is common and prevalent in multiple nissan models from the same time period, suggesting an engineering design defect in the engine and should be recalled. frankly, if this was an immediate life safety issue, a recall would have been issued in light of the numerous failures and number of models involved with this same problem.

 Excessive rust on oil pan bolts with rust spreading from bolts to oil pan. excessive corrosion (white, powdery looking coating) on undercarriage bolts. unexpected rust on hose clamp attaching filler tube to gas tank. 2007 nissan frontier, crew cab style, 4x4, se model. this vehicle was purchased new in virginia and driven in virginia. contacted dealer with photos of the rust and they inspected and claimed to have forwarded information to regional service director. after no action, called 1-800-nissan1 and they directed me to return to the dealer and assigned a case number. dealer supposedly documented the rust and again submitted to regional service director (9/6/2010) - but i have not received a promised followup phone call. two additional calls to 1-800-nissan1 (directed to phone box when i provided the case number) have not been returned.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 nissan frontier. when the contact attempts to start his vehicle after it has been parked for a while, it begins to smoke. he stated that this is a brand new vehicle and the failure has been occurring since it was purchased. the dealer and the manufacturer stated that this was just the nature of the vehicle and failed to mention if it was due to a manufacturer defect or design flaw. the failure mileage was 2 and current mileage was 3,000.
