The fuel and brake lines on my nissan maxima are corroded and due to the brake line failure i had a loss of brake power. i was able to stop and call a tow truck, thankfully. also, the fuel lines are corroded and started to leak which could have caused my car to explode very easily. the placment of these lines and the carlessness of nissan motors needs to be looked at here. people could die very easily from these corroded lines.

Fuel injectors have not been firing within the specified range as assessed by my mechanic as well as an authorized nisssandealer/ mechanic. the car idles rough and shimmies while the brake is applied at a stop. sometimes there is a hesitation when i depress the accelerator. the problem seems to be getting worse over time, recently the emissions warning light on the dashboard has come on and cannot be reset. i am hesitant to pay for repair work because of the expense (and i've been told replacing the bad injectors only may hasten the others going bad). for a car with such low mileage that has had regular tune-ups and maintenance work this problem is unacceptable. my friend also has a 1990 maxima and has experienced similar problems and my mechanic sees this problem on a regular basis.

I've had a number of problems with this car and have put a lot of money and time into it. but my mechanic warned me after having my tune-up done that the fuel injectors are leaking. he suggested i contact nissan to verify whether or not they had recalled my vehicle model for this defect. according to a nissan consumer affairs associate, the 1990 maxima does not fall under the recall that was issued for the previous years maxima. but i have searched the nhtsa site and found that i am not the only person to have experienced this problem with my maxima. *ak

Nissan maxima 1990: recall inspection was done ~1999 regarding possible defective gasolie filler pipe (campaign#95v244000). since then, small leaks after top off, and now getting worse. it poured out for 2-3 min last time i filled the tank. i called nissanusa at gardena,ca for permission to respect and the lady twho answered the phone refused to grant it. i am a little afraid to drive the car now; try my best not to. i would like to ask you to help me get permission to have a free inspection at my local dealership. thanks for a reply. sincerely paul chan pkc228@cox.net. *ak
