My daughter over-corrected and rolled the car 4 times, which she was ejected on the first roll, because the driver side seatbelt failed to hold her in. she has marks on her neck showing where the seatbelt burned her before failing to hold her inside the car. she has over 200 stitches in her body, luckily no broken bones or internal injuries. it appears the driver side door came open also, possibly the exit point, she doesn't know where she was ejected from. *tr

After several months & delays to correct the corrosion problem described in ntb96-034, nissan north america finally agreed to correct & repair the left side wheel housing and component listed in the recall. although, the corrosion is also appearring in advances stages on the right side of the vehicle in the same area on the opposite side. the corrosion has advanced to the point that there are holes on both sides of the vehicle not only on the left side, but also the right side. the seat belt anchor on both sides are attached directly to the area of advanced corrosion. in the event of a crash the seat belt anchor(s) most likely would tear-out from the corroded area and passengers on either side of the vehicle may be injured / killed. the corrosion damage is identical to the corrosion problem detailed in nissan's campaign id no. 95v-244, or ntb96-034 & ntb96-034a.
