| Bought the vehicle and noticed severe top end noise. prior owner complained several time since 1996 about noise. various mechanics indicate to me that they all do this. found out there are two tsb's on the problem indicating vtc failure. on the bbs for this car the problem is discussed daily and seems to affect almost all maxima se's with ve30de engines. the nissan mechanic says he fixes this all the time- they are gouging customers for a faulty part with an extremly high failure rate. i think they should do it at n/c otherwise i'm not buying anymore nissans. i don't know if it's safe to drive around with the engine sounding like it's falling apart. | |||
