My vehicle contains most of the technical service bulletins and a couple of the recalls. my main concern/question is why won't nissan cover the expenses for the repair of the front end noise (one of the tsb's #ntb93189) which will lead to further damage of the vehicle??? no safety defect listed in the summary. *ak

During heavy traffic the consumers daughter sharply turned the steering wheel and lost control of the vehicle. another driver stopped to inform the consumers daughter that the axle appeared to have broken. the axle was replaced. a loud noise had developed, which was due to a defective manifold and muffler. the abs brakes developed a leak and malfunctioned, which kept the warning light on. the consumer also owns a nissan pathfinder, and found that any impact to the front end would make a dent, there is no support in the front bumper. *mr *scc *nlm

I do not recall the exact date last year that i complained to the local nissan dealer, and then wrote to nissan in california and had several telephone conversations with them. the exhaust manifold bolts are breaking on my car, causing a loud noise that the local dealer admits is a nissan problem that has been known about for a long time. nissan in california as much as admitted there is an exhaust manifold bolt breakage problem, and offered to give me a $500 certificate toward the purchase of another nissan. i only had 40,000 miles on the car at the time, and now have only 60,000. i do not want to trade. i also do not want another nissan since their refusal to fix what they know is a problem exists. yes, my car was out of the mileage and the years warranty, but a car that only has 40,000 miles should not experience this kind of problem. i have a 1962 ford falcon that has no problems and no recalls that i know of, and that has never caused me the first problem. i realize nissan is not going to do anything. but i think the government should force nissan to recall these cars on which they know they have had an exhaust problem for several years.
