| Due to a recall a plastic shield was installed a few years ago by dealer to protect the fuel tank from road debris. something must have hit the shield causing four of the 6 plastic fasteners to break off or fail due to age. the shield was dangling on passenger side. i purchased and installed replacement fasteners. most people will not know to inspect for this leaving the tank exposed. i think nissan's solution is inadequate. the shield should be more robust. perhaps metal with metal fasteners? i also think this should be a recall of the recall. *tr | |||
